Refreshments For Your Face: 6 Easy Facials

Are you struggling with acne or problem areas on you face? Are you getting your picture taken tomorrow and wanna look refreshed? Maybe you're hanging out with a bunch of friends and you're looking for something fun to do at home? I've got a couple of awesome facial ideas that are super easy and that will help you clear up that aggravating zit!

***All ingredients are underlined.
   Baking Soda
1) Cleanse your skin. I suggest using either a soft soap/baby soap with water or a store bought facial cleanser.

2) Pour baking soda and a few drops of water into a bowl. Be careful with the proportions. Make sure its  a paste, NOT a liquid. Then, simply apply to your face in a thick layer.

3) Leave for 20 minutes and rinse with cold water. Your lovely skin will be smoother and more refreshed.

     Yogurt
1) Pour 1 teaspoon of honey into a bowl. Warm it up slightly so its melted enough to be smoothly mixed.

2) Mix with natural yogurt of medium fat. (Although, if you don't have any yogurt to match these exact standards, it'd be alright to use a plain yogurt of any fat, except for Greek or flavored yogurt.) Stir for a few minutes. Apply to problem areas.

3) Leave for 10-20 minutes. Rinse with a soft tissue or washcloth. Repeat this process multiple times a week to achieve your desired affect.

     Egg White
1) Separate the egg yolk (the yellow part) from the egg white ( the clear part). Keep the egg white for this mask. Whip until a slightly thick paste.

2) OPTIONAL: If you have oily/greasy skin add a tiny bit of lemon juice.

3) Leave for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This mask will reduce redness and irritation. And don't freak out (or laugh) when the egg begins to harden on your face. This facial is actually one that my grandma taught me. She always said to do it before you shower, so if you miss any of the egg when you rinse it off, the shower will get the rest.

     Cornstarch & Strawberry
1) Mash 4-5 strawberries in a bowl.

2) Add 1/4 cup of cornstarch to the strawberries to form a smooth paste. Spread mixture all over your face.

3) Leave for 30 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

     Skim Milk & Honey
1) Mix 1 tablespoon of honey in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of powdered skim milk and 1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.

2) Massage paste into pores with circular motions. Do this for 3-4 minutes.

3) Rinse with warm water. {The recipe says..} to do this twice a day. But if you can't, no one will hate you for it. Once is fine too.

     Cocoa Powder & Milk Facial
1) Mix 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 tablespoon skim milk, 4 tablespoons oatmeal, and 1/4 cup honey. Yes, this does make a lot! Feel free to ad more oatmeal to thicken.

2) Apply to face. Massage into pores for better results.

3) Leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This mask (I tried it), does harden on your face, and I had to use a washcloth to get it off. It did work well though!

I hope these benefit you girls! Always remember how beautiful you are, acne and problem spots or not. Pray for your mask to work! Yeah, I know, that sounds super silly, but God wants to help you, even if it has to do with facials. He loves you and wants the best. He knows how beautiful you are and wants to help you realize it too. Good luck with the facials!!
